Looking for a way to add some sunshine to your summer cafe menu? We have some recipes to consider, all made possible with Melbourne wholesale coffee supplies.
Richard Blechynden thought to ice down the hot tea served in the East India Pavilion at the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair. It turned out that the Fair goers immensely enjoyed the refreshing cold version of the traditional beverage – especially in the hot Missouri summer!
Since then, tea lovers have been icing and flavoring their tea drinks, and our Melbourne wholesale coffee supplies have been helping! June is National Iced Tea Month, and we want to celebrate with trending tastes perfect for any menu board.

Cold Brew Refreshers
Summer is the perfect time to chill down your coffee for a relaxing and refreshing caffeinated treat. What fruit is to tea, sugar and cream are to coffee, and let’s be honest, sometimes we want coffee and dessert at the same time! Here are a few of our summer faves for your menu.
Simple, Sweet Cold Brews
Add flavored syrup to your cold brew for a refreshing pick-me-up. Make a big batch of cold brew ahead of time and keep it in the fridge to mix with various flavors. Make your cold brew by mixing eight cups of water with two cups of coffee grinds in a large pitcher. Let the pitcher sit for 12 to 48 hours, then use cheesecloth to filter out the grounds.
- Salted Caramel Cold Brew – Add a pinch of salt and two pumps of Monin Caramel syrup to eight ounces cold brew. Stir in ¼ cup milk or cream and serve over ice.
- French Vanilla Cold Brew – Mix two pumps of Monin French Vanilla syrup into eight ounces cold brew, add ¼ cup cream, and serve over ice.
Out-Of-The-Box Cold Brews
Add the following syrup flavors to cold brew for an unexpected flavor.
- Pistachio
- Lavender
- Apple
- Chocolate Hazelnut
- Maple
Keep a variety of syrup flavors on hand to try your hand at creating unique flavor combinations. You never know what you’ll discover, and it could be the next summer coffee trend.
